Wichita - Genevieve B. Laggart, 98, died January 27, 2017, in Wichita, Ks. She was born on June 14, 1918 at Saint Leo, the daughter of Michael and Anna Marie (Bugner) Kerschen. On January 5, 1943, she married Anthony Arensdorf at St. Leo. They moved to Wilroads Gardens in 1946. Anthony died June 10, 1973. She later married Alois Laggart who preceded her in death in 1984.While in Dodge City, Gen was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Daughters of Isabella and Altar Society both of the church. When she moved to Wichita she was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, SchulteGenevieve is survived by her Son, Jerry Arensdorf and wife Kathy of Colby; two daughters, Diana Fredelake and Betty Brown both of Wichita; one brother, Roman Kerschen of Kingman; grandchildren, Vicki Brown, Wichita; Darin (Shari) Brown, Moore Park CA; Keith (Marcea)Brown, Kansas City; Dawn (Troy) Arion, Michelle (David) Vaughn, Wichita; Kristen Arensdorf, Manhattan; and Ryan Arensdorf, Middleburg VA; great grandchildren, Livia Brown, Lincolnshire UK, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Caleb & Joshua Brown, Kansas City; Trent (Kaitlyn) Arion, Derby, Anthony Arion, Emporia; Peyton Vaughn, Wichita; Baylee Vaughn, Kansas City; Kaitlyn and Adam Brown, Moore Park CA; Chris (Ally) Martin, Wichita; and one great-great grandchild, Austyn Faye Martin, Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Schulte, 11000 W. Southwest Blvd, Wichita. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will be at 3:30 PM on Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.
