George CampbellFarr West - George Lilly CampbellOur loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, George Lilly Campbell, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on Jan. 10, 1939 in Elmhurst, Ill. He and his twin brother David were adopted by Harry Eugene and Ella Marie Lilly Campbell. George married Christina Gay on June 25, 1960. They later divorced. He married Mary Belzer on Oct. 3, 1968 in Dallas, Texas. They later divorced. He then married Betty Wilson. They were later divorced. He married his sweetheart, Judy Young on March 17, 1984. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They spent 30 wonderful years together. George was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as a Stake Missionary, and Ward Missionary. He was a convert to the church since 1977.George worked as a Butcher in the Slaughter Industry and dressing of Livestock for 40 years.He loved his Harley Motorcycle and would ride it whenever and wherever, weather permitting. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group and Golden Spike Bikers Clubs.He loved doing Missionary work and re-activating members. He loved his dogs Molly, Puki and Mackey but his main love was his family. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, George Campbell Jr, Alice (Bob) Sorgen and David Campbell; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; step-children, Shelly Hepworth (Steven), Yvonne Clegg, and Scott Baber (Annette) and sister, Carolyn Richardson.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca Sue Campbell; son, D. Keith Campbell; and brother, David W. Campbell. Special thanks go out to Advocate Hospice for their love and support. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Westwood Ward Chapel, 2123 N. 2000 West, Farr West. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ogden Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
