George Carleton Moss Sr.Port HuronGeorge Carleton Moss Sr., age 84, of Port Huron, and later of Hale, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, with his family by his side, in Alva, Florida.George was born on December 28, 1932, in Port Huron, to the late George and Jean Moss.He grew up as the second eldest of eight children and attended Port Huron High School. In 1951, he married Marlene Solomon. The couple settled in Port Huron and had five sons. George worked for 32 years, as an electrician at Mueller Brass Co. Marysville plant, where he retired. George was an avid golfer his whole adult life, so much that his kids nicknamed him "Arnie". He also loved fast pitch softball and played for many years. He played for the Cadillac Hotel and the team won two Class A State Championships in 1959 and1960. He was also inducted into the Port Huron Sports Hall of fame. George was an avid hunter and was a lifetime member of the Elks.George is survived by his sons; Ronald Moss, Donald Moss (Kathie), Gary Moss (Jodi), George Moss, Jr. (Debbie), good friend and caretaker, Marlene Moss, brothers; James and Raymond Moss, sisters; Leah Jones, Sharon Saunby, and Suzanne Bruno. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, David R.
