George D. DayBlanchard, OKGeorge D. Day, 63, died May 31, 2017 from his struggle with chronic COPD and heart disease. He is survived by his daughter Gabrielle Day of Collins, MS, minor son, Jordan T. Day of Houma, LA, his son, Justin Lee of Tenn, his stepson, Dr. Ken Porche, his stepdaughter, Kacie Porche DeHart, his granddaughter, Lucy Mae DeHart and grandson, Reed Mitchell DeHart, his sisters, JoAnn Banse of Okla., Vicki Binkley & Martha Tabler of Tenn., and Janice Day of Ohio. Nieces and nephews from North Carolina, Tennessee and Oklahoma.He was preceded in death by his father, George Day of TN, his mother, Sylvia Patterson Day of KY and his brother, David Day of NC.George was born on August 16, 1953 in LaFollette, Tennessee. He moved to Houma and became a private investigator in the early '80s and evolved into a professional skilled and experienced P.I. His track record of success on behalf of his clients spoke for itself. His advertisement said it best, "George Day will find the way". George loved fishing and being on the water. Loved cooking and making his, "hot Chili and Gumbo." Those who knew George well will miss his sense of humor. God rest his soul. Per George's wishes, there will be no public service.
