George Henry Moody George Henry Moody, age 68, of Bluffton died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was born on January 17, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, the son of the late Harry William Moody, Sr. and Peggy Champion Moody. He was widely known for his quiet and comfortable easy going nature. His unassuming ways made him unforgettably stand out. He had a true servant's heart which enabled him to touch many lives in the Bluffton area. George had a humble approachable way with people, young and old alike and will be missed by so many. Mr. Moody was well known in the community as a certified and expert Volvo mechanic. He was a member of the Bluffton Rotary Club. He was an active member of The Church of the Cross. His faith carried him through every storm of his life. He is now at peace with his Lord and Savior having fulfilled his life with great purpose. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Camden Fontaine Moody and his sister, Pam Moody Morgan. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 46 years, Maury Weyman Moody; his son, William Moody; brothers, Harry William Moody, Jr. (Marie) and Jerry Lee Moody; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016 at The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910.
