George Lamar Brooks Ⅲ, 51, was born on March 28, 1970 in Santa Barbara California to First Lady Connie Marie Brooks and Pastor George Brooks Jr. He was the third of four children and will forever be loved and missed by his siblings. Growing up in Bethel COGIC, George loved to play the drums and knew exactly what beat to hit to get the Holy Spirit flowing throughout the whole church for praise & worship. A lover of nature in every sense, he trimmed trees off and on for many years, and he would give anyone who would listen an education about trees. He knew the species of any tree, its approximate age and state of health, the quality of the wood, etc.... George was a very loving and caring person who always had a smile and kind word for everyone. He loved action and martial arts movies and could eat Frosted Flakes everyday if given the chance as long as he had plenty of milk. His eccentric sense of humor will continue to put smiles on our faces, as his memory is filled with laughter and love.
He leaves to mourn, his father Pastor George Brooks Jr, his mother First lady Connie Marie Brooks, two sisters, Nagail Denesha Starr, Rochelle Brooks Hatley, one brother, Kenneth Wayne Brooks, one sister in law, Carla Brooks, one brother in law, Darrell Wayne Starr, his two daughters, Deajonay Marie Brooks, and Raya Camille Brooks, one nephew, Troy Anthony Shaw, one nephew in law, Michael Chidi Ani, six nieces, Shalon Nagail Ani, Shanc'e Latreece Starr, Eljonae Kiera Hatley, Elkiyah Kalilah Hatley, Stella Marie Brooks, Jullianna Latrice Brooks, the two younger sibling of his youngest daughter Raya, Mylia Overton and Jaya Overton whom he cared for and loved as his own, and a host of family and friends that will miss him tremendously.
