George V. Quibell Jr.1925 - 2016George V. Quibell Jr., 91, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Brookside Care Center with his loving family by his side. George was born on Oct. 8, 1925, in Osceola, Mich., to George and Audrey (Bartlett) Quibell Sr. He came to Kenosha in 1960 and worked for Chrysler as a welder in the Tool and Dye department until his retirement in October of 1988. George married Dolores Zawacki-Thomas on July 8, 1975, in Kenosha. He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with his son-in-law, Bob Hofmann, who he was like a father too. George also enjoyed swimming with Dolores and their senior group at Reuther High School. His greatest joy was the time he spent with family and friends.He was preceded in death by, his parents; and three sons, Bruce Quibell and Michael and Richard Thomas.George is survived by, his wife of 41 years, Dolores of Kenosha; three daughters, Gail Wells, Cheryl Tohl, Karen (Bob) Hofmann; his daughter-in-law, Denise Thomas; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and other family and many friends.Funeral services for George will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home with interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Monday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service. "The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Brookside.
