Georgean H. JonesBOZEMAN, Mont. - Georgean H. Jones passed away peacefully on June 2, 2011, in Bozeman, Mont. One of nine children, Georgean Hubsky was born on Dec. 20, 1923, in Max, N.D., daughter of Mike and Clara (Faydo) Hubsky. She attended high school in Max and Malta, Mont., graduating from the latter in 1941. After high school, she attended Minneapolis Business College. In 1943, Georgean enlisted in the Womens Army Corps. During her time in the service, she was stationed in Bovington, England, Prestwick, Scotland, Paris, France, and Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah. It was at Dugway Proving Grounds she met her husband, Clayton Jones. They were married in Salt Lake City on Nov. 9, 1946.In 1947, Georgean and Clayton moved to Clayton's home town of Richmond, Ind. She took a job as assistant bookkeeper at the local Cadillac dealership, where she worked for 39 years, the last 28 years as business manager. Over the years, she received numerous performance awards from the Cadillac Motor Car Division. In 1964, Georgean was named the American Business Womens Association's Woman of the Year. Georgean and Clayton were active members of the First Christian Church in Richmond.In 1987, Georgean and Clayton retired and moved to Bentonville, Ark., to be near their oldest son, David, and his family. In 1995, they re-located to Minot, N.D. Shortly after Clayton's death in 2001, Georgean moved to Grand Forks, N.D., to be near her youngest son, Steven, and his family. In January 2011, Georgean moved with Steven and his family to Bozeman.Georgean is survived by her two sons, David of Grand Forks and Steven and his wife, Martha Potvin, of Bozeman; two sisters, Helen Thompson of Grand Forks and Eileen Hubsky of Medford, Ore.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin infants (Claudia and Timothy), four brothers and two sisters.Services will be held in North Dakota.Arrangements are in care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.
