Georgia Ruth Adams, 82, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Jean Waddle Care Center. She was born on July 5, 1934, daughter of the late Walter Thompson and Amanda Alexander Finch. She was a homemaker and attended Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church. She loved her family, flowers, and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Paul Adams whom she married on September 13, 1956; one son, Robert (Angie) Adams, of Woodstock, GA; two daughters, Donna (Jim) Horton, of Brentwood, Tenn and Linda (Danny) Blevins, of Eubank; one sister, Elizabeth Chapman of Pass Christian, Miss.; six grandchildren, Joe Horton, Aaron, (Megan) Belcher, Carrie (Steve) Camp, Amanda (Hunter) Hurd, Heather (Alex) Cole and Shane Adams; eight great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kaylynn Belcher, Callie, Wyatt Camp, Easton, Reese Hurd and Caleb Judah Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Thompson and two sisters, Netta Thompson, and Joyce Thompson. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Emory Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church C/O Harlan Eldridge, 371 Planters Way, Somerset, KY, 42503 Morris and Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
