Gerald Helms, of Harpster, Idaho, passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on September 16, 1938, Gerald lived a full and adventurous life.

Gerald was a devoted husband to his wife, Alice June Helms, whom he married in 1977. Together, they raised four children: Alice Marie, Linda, Jody, and David. Gerald was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Elizabeth WIlcox,Christopher Wilcox,Valerie Wilcox, Rachel Imel, Issac Imel, Ashely,Jessica. He was a huge apart of Elizabeths life she was adopted at the age of 12 years old by her grandparents. She would later have her first born son Preston Christopher Wilcox , Geralds first great grandkid would be born in 2011 who spent 13 years as his grandpas best friend and partner in crime. They would spend hours together watching his favorite shows CSI, House,Jag, NCIS. They where never apart and always seen tearing things apart together.

During his career, Gerald worked in the Navy, where he served his country with honor and dedication. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, hunting, camping, and spending quality time with his grandkids and great-grandkid.

Gerald will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
