Gerald Allen Walters, age 69, of Des Moines, Iowa went to be with the Lord on Monday August 3rd, 2020. He passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Gerald was born on July 10th, 1951 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Orville R Walters and Catherine M Skinner. He had 6 siblings.

Gerald went to High school in Fort Dodge Iowa and later moved to Des Moines, Iowa. Thats where he met the love of his life Catherine L Higgins. They married on June 20th, 1973 in Belle Plaine, Iowa.

Gary worked for the State of Iowa in the 1980's doing maintenance work. He later moved down to Alabama and came back to Des Moines, Iowa in 2010. He loved to watch Western shows, listen to country music and enjoyed spending time at Pioneer-Columbus Community Center. His favorite place to go was at B&B market, as he loved their famous sandwiches. Everyone will miss him, but most of all, we will miss his stubborn attitude.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Traviss) Fagan of Des Moines, son Jeremy (Heather) Walters of Madrid: His Grandchildren: Brittany (Stephen) Earles, Chelsey Fagan, Desarea Fagan, Noah Fagan all of Des Moines and Ella Walters of Madrid, His Great Grandchildren: Harley Parker, Connor Earles, Tanner Earles and Alijah Fagan all of Des Moines, His Brothers: Robert (Carol) Walters of Fort Dodge, Edward (Pat) Walters of Des Moines, Michael Walters of Marshaltown and Matthew Walters of Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Walley Walters and sister Gladys Trask.
