Gerald J. Pytlik, age 81, of East Tawas, former resident of Bay City, died on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on Jan. 4, 1935 the son of Aloysius and Angeline (Warzynski) Pytlik in Bay City. Jerry worked at General Motors in Bay City for 30 years before retiring in 1987. He loved spending time with his constant canine companion, Andy, and enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting. Jerry was a master taxidermist for 60 years and the owner and operator of Jerry's Taxidermy Studio in East Tawas. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Jerry married his best friend, Marthann Sexton, on Dec. 18, 1954 in Bay City, and together they shared 62 years of marriage and raised three children, all of whom survive him, Jerry Jr. Pytlik, Debbie (Ed) Jozwiak and Dr. Michael (Joe Pawelezyke) Pytlik. Also surviving are his sister, Linda (Gary) Holik; and his niece, Tammy Ruchinski; and nephew, Richard (Laurie) Lewandowski; and several great nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Jackie Lewandowski. Per his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
