Gerald "Jerry" VintigniAGE: 81 • WilmingtonGerald J. Vintigni, age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on November 29, 2016. Gerald was born on August 10, 1935, to John J. and Lucy E. Vintigni. Gerald retired from the U.S. Postal Service and following he worked for Tri-State Couriers. "Jerry" enjoyed daily walks around the Trolley Square and Rockford Park area, where he greeted everyone with a smile. He also enjoyed time with his family and friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent, and sister, Josephine. Gerald will be dearly missed by his former wife, Barbaranne Hagan, his sister, Lucille DiSabatino, his brothers, John (Mary) Vintigni, and Richard (Linda) Vintigni, and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th & DuPont Street in Wilmington, where friends and family may visit after 9:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Limen House ( www.limenhouse.org).
