LIMA — Geraldine L. "Gerrie" Butler, 87, of Lima passed away at 3:25 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of Burton's Ridge.
She was born on December 15, 1928 in Findlay to Emmitt and Mabel "Pat" (Keller) Wilcox, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her step-father E. D. "Red" Franklin. On September 11, 1953, she married Coral R. Butler, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1981.
Geraldine was a beautician and was the owner/operator of Jaylene's for over 40 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching NASCAR. She was an antique dealer for many years and was affectionately know as "The Antique Lady".
Surviving are her two daughters Connie (Rick) Walls of Cridersville and Carole (Vince) Musto of Lima; her grandchildren Kelly (Chris) Marker, Tracy (Shannon) Hibbard, Scott Musto and Christopher Musto; her great-grandchildren Austin, Alyssa, Riley and Addie, Emma and Brayden.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL, with Rev. Todd Cosart officiating.
