On Sunday, April 23, 2017, Mrs. Geraldine C. Oravets of Alamogordo, NM was called "Home" to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and all His Angels in Heaven. She was 98 years young. "Jerry" {as she preferred to be called} was privileged, after a short illness, to pass at home with love and dignity with her beloved long-time Best Friend and 25 year-long Companion, {Joe Weidner} at her side. "Jerry" was born on May 10, 1918 in the small, West Texas community of Goree, Texas {close to Munday, Texas.} "Jerry" is predeceased by her Parents, {Lem} and {Ada-Kaluma "Dutch" Coltharp} of Ruidoso Downs, NM, 3 Brothers {Dick Coltharp} Amarillo, Texas, {Garland Coltharp} Killeen,Texas, and {J.H. Coltharp} Seymour, Texas, and 1 Sister {Blanche Coltharp Tidwell} of Munday, Texas. Also, predeceasing her are 2 Husbands {James McCanless} of California, and {William "Bill" Oravets} of Alamogordo, NM, plus 5 Nephews {Vandal Coltharp} of Amarillo, Texas, {Ralph Coltharp} of Munday, Texas, {Kelton Coltharp} of Alabama, {Gerald Coltharp} of Oklahoma, and {Billy Coltharp} of Houston, Texas. Also 1 Niece {Wyvonne Coltharp Newell} of Newport Beach, CA, and 2 Great Nephews {Rondell-Ray and Kendel Coltharp} both of West Orange, Texas. "Jerry" is survived by 3 Nephews {Donald-Gale Coltharp}, {James D. "Butch" Coltharp}, and {Gary-Max Coltharp} all of Seymour, Texas, 2 Nieces {Patsy Jo Coltharp Curtin} of Round Rock, Texas and {Lynelle O'Neil} of Abilene, Texas. On "Jerry's" Husband "Bill's" side of the family are a surviving Nephew {Jim Roberts} of Santa Clarita, California; his wife {"Monica"}, 2 Sisters {Paula Roberts} of Maryland, {Kathy Dooley} of Utah, and 2 Daughters {Jordan Roberts} and {Alexis Roberts} both of Santa Clarita, California. Also, surviving "Jerry" are a multitude of Great Nephews and Nieces, and Great-Great Nephews and Nieces. "Jerry" was laid to rest at Hale Cemetery, in Ruidoso, on April 26, 2017.
