Geraldine FraserGeraldine Fraser (Nee Gayda), 81 passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017 after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family in York, SC. Gerri was born on July 11, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to North Jersey, in 1961 and eventually settled in Park Ridge, where she resided until 1980. While in Park Ridge, she raised four boys and was a long time employee of the A&P Supermarket, where she made many friends and acquaintances. In 1980, Gerri moved to Hollywood, Florida where she met the love of her life, Stuart (Stu) Fraser. They moved to Sarasota, Fl. in 1999, and were married soon after. Gerri worked as a receiver for Publix Supermarket until she retired in 1998. Gerri and Stu loved to spend days at the beach and enjoyed many walks along the paths of the golf course adjacent to their home. Gerri also loved to spend time with her Great Grandchildren whom referred to her as 'GiGi' for Great Grandma. Gerri was predeceased by her husband Stu and her son Kenneth (Kenny) Marzan. She is survived by her sons, Byron and his wife Joanie, Peter Marzan and Paul Marzan. She is also survived by her 5 Grandchildren, Heather (Marzan) Tidwell and her husband Scott, Kathleen (Marzan) Servilo and her husband Josiah, Emilly Marzan and her fiancé Nate Garner, Christa Marzan and Angela (Marzan) Opris and her husband Trevor. She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren, Byron and Grace Tidwell and Isaac Servilo. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 10 am until the funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Palms-Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park: 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232. They treated Gerri with great kindness and her family will always be grateful for their support during such a difficult time.
