Dolnik, Geraldine M. MADISON-Geraldine M. Dolnik, age 95, died January 24, 2017 at Waunakee Manor. Gerry, as her family and friends called her, was born on March 4, 1921, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Frank L. and Mary (Weber) Schroeder. She graduated from Mercy High School in 1939. Soon after, she began work at Harnischfeger Corp. in the Purchasing Dept. for eleven years and then after the birth of her daughter, Donna, she worked at Murphy Diesel Company for 29 years as secretary to the President until his death. On May 18, 1946, she married William Dolnik, who also worked at Harnischfeger. Gerry retired in 1980 along with her husband. Gerry and Bill moved to Madison in 1987 to be close to Donna and her family- the best move they ever made. Gerry is the proud mother of Donna K. (James) Camp; and grandmother of Jonathan (Jen Stone), Christopher and Nicholas Camp, her pride and joy. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Clarence; and sisters, Bernice and Elizabeth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 30, 2017, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Msgr. Charles Schluter presiding. A reception will follow. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Mass at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 12 PM.
