Bauer, Germaine A.Germaine A. Bauer, age 93, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.She was born on November 19, 1923 in Tisch Mills, daughter of the late Anton and Margaret (Bonnell) Brandl. On June 2, 1945 she married Richard Bauer at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. The couple owned and operated the family farm. During their retirement, they enjoyed traveling. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1945. Germaine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She was an avid card player with family and friends. Germaine also enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading and doing puzzles.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard & Bonnie Bauer, Randy & KayLynn Bauer, all of Manitowoc; four daughters and sons-in-law: Diane & Don Hailer, Newton, Jan & Mike Sinor, Whitelaw, Bonnie & Steve Sorge, Arizona, Tina & Brian Muck, Manitowoc; one brother: Gerald Brandl, Manitowoc; one sister: Margaret Evenson, Valders; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Stan and Pat Hollen, Manitowoc and a sister-in-law: Glenda Bauer, Idaho. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son: James; two sisters: Virginia Brandl, Lorraine Brandl; two brothers: Howard Brandl, James Brandl; one great grandson and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ralph & Mildred Bonin, Ione & Russ Steeber and Joseph Bauer.Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier.
