Gerold Romero, 78, of Thornton, Colorado, passed Tuesday, June 09, 2020. Gerold was born to Eloy Romero, and Miriam Romero, December 21, 1941 in Denver, Colorado. He married Betty Romero in 1961, and they lived together in Thornton, Co. Gerold was very passionate about nature especially hummingbirds. He was a great grandfather to his grandchildren and their kids always teaching and laughing with everyone he met he loved his family very dearly and will be truly missed by all he ever encountered.

Gerold is survived by 3 children: Ralph L. Romero, Deborah P. Garcia (Mike F. Garcia), and Roxanne D. Martinez (Leroy Martinez). He also is survived by 5 grandchildren: Courtney Martínez, Melissa Lujan (Gabriel Lujan), Jackie Romero, Sydney Romero (Steven Cordova), and Amanda Romero.

No funeral services will be held as it was Gerold's wish to spend eternity among the beautiful Rocky Mountains, so his ashes will be spread at his daughter Deborah's cabin in Winter Park on a later date.
