Geter was born on November 24, 1968, to loving parents, Carl and Mildred Gist. His departure leaves a void in the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.Geter was an extraordinary individual who brought joy and inspiration to all his acquaintances. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature were his trademarks. Family and friends will fondly remember his genuine concern for others and the countless acts of kindness he performed throughout his life.Known for his unwavering work ethic. Geter approached every task with diligence, always striving for perfection. His coworkers admired his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the job was done right. Geter's commitment to excellence and his ability to foster positive relationships made him a respected member of his workplace.Outside of his professional life, Geter had numerous hobbies and interests. He loved to travel and explore new places whenever he had the chance. He loved to meet new people and would carry on a conversation with anyone willing. He cared about his loved ones in a way like no other. Geter was a people pleaser and loved to make everyone happy. He loved to laugh and reminisce about old times. His smile was infectious and his laugh was enough to make everyone around him smile. An adventurous spirit, Geter enjoyed traveling and exploring different cultures. He embarked on many trips throughout his life, both domestically and internationally. Geter possessed a curious mind and a genuine fascination for learning about the world. His travels not only broadened his horizons but also provided him with cherished memories he shared with those closest to him.A family-first man, Geter was a devoted husband to his late wife, Susan, whom he married in 1972. Their love was a beacon of strength and inspiration, serving as an example to everyone around them. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three amazing children: Brian, Lisa, and Amanda. The love Geter poured into his family was immeasurable. He was a nurturing father, loving grandfather, and treasured friend.Geter's impact on the lives he touched will forever be cherished. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and love that will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to have known him.A celebration of Geter's life will be held at the East Liverpool Community Church on August 6, 2023, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the East Liverpool Community Outreach Center, a charity Geter passionately supported throughout his life.May Geter's soul rest in eternal peace.
