It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother Gilberto "Berto" Balderrama, who was born on July 13, 1972, and passed away on May 4, 2024, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, United States. He was the son of Johnny Balderrama and Socorro Coyazo Balderrama.

Gilberto was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew James Martin Jr.

He is survived by his brothers Juan (Monica) Balderrama and Arturo Balderrama. His sisters Raquel "Princess" (Steve) Arredondo and Monica Balderrama. His God daughter Brianna Melon Nuñez. His nephews and nieces Angel Martin, Adrianna Martin Childers, Brianna Melon Nuñez, Corey Bullard, Stephen Garcia, Adam and Aaron Balderrama, Tyler and Nicholas Balderrama. His loving Aunt Maria Martha Garcia, uncle Guillermo Coyazo and uncle Nacho Balderrama.

He had a passion for George Strait music and could often be found singing along to his favorite songs. He loved to go deer hunting!

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Services will be June 13th, 2024 at ICC in Alamogordo, NM with rosary at 10:30, Mass at 11am with burial to follow at noon. Food afterwards at the Mountain View Church on Cuba Avenue at 1pm after burial. We are going to wear camouflage shirts because of his love for deer hunting please join us as well wearing camouflage.
