Gille Joseph Binette, 80, of Ellenton, Fla., and Sanbornville, N.H., died July 8, 2017, at the Tidewell Hospice Center in West Bradenton, Fla., after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family, Chris and Dilcia Ladd, his stepson and daughter-in-law, and also Samantha and Stephanie Ladd, his grandchildren. Also present at the time of his death were his brothers, Marcel and Ray, and his niece, Amy Binette. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara, who passed in January of 2017. He was also predeceased by his older brother, Normand, and his younger sister, Camille. He is survived by a sister, Suzanne Liebson and her husband, Irving, of Charlotte, N.C. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. He was born on June 2, 1937, to Jean Paul and Eva Binette in Manchester, NH. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1981 and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. After his retirement, he met and married Barbara Ladd, the love of his life, in 1982. They, for the remainder of their lives, summered in Sanbornville, NH and wintered in Ellenton, Fla. They were both active members of both of those communities. They ran a small business called GILBAR Services. He did retirement home repairs and she did house cleaning and accounting services in their retirement community of Colony Cove in Ellenton. They will surely be missed in both Sanbornville and Ellenton.
