Gisele Dianne Martin CarbonneauAge: 58Gisele Dianne Martin Carbonneau - affectionately know to friends and family as "Gigi" - died peacefully at UVM Medical Center on Saturday, November 12th at the age of 58. She passed while surrounded with love and family. Gisele was born on January 15th, 1958 in Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada to loving parents Ella (Dube) Martin and Richard Martin. She completed the family when she joined them as baby sister to her two adoring older brothers. Gisele and her family lived in the town of Madawaska, Maine where she attended and graduated from Madawaska High School. In July 1976, Gigi met the love of her life, Denis Carbonneau, through a mutual friend from Madawaska. They married on June 2nd, 1979, and celebrated their 37th year of marriage this year. Denis and Gigi's family grew on January 31st, 1984 when they welcomed their daughter Erin (Carbonneau) Senecal. They filled their lives with love and laughter, living first in Westbrook, Maine, then moving to Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Many life long friends were made in Maine and New Jersey before they moved to Williston, Vermont in 1994, and to Essex, Vermont in 1998. Gisele collected friends throughout her life, including many coworkers turned lifelong friends. She had an undying work ethic, and climbed the ladder from humble beginnings to a position of leadership and guidance in the community. She spent most of her career working in health care administration, beginning that path at Community Health Plan, and later moving on to MVP Health Care, where she worked for fourteen years. She then worked in conjunction with a group of wonderful and talented individuals to create HealthFirst, an independent provider organization in the state of Vermont. Gigi used her unconditional love and infectious laughter to touch all those she met. She was surrounded in her life with incredible friends who she loved with her whole heart. She was someone who made each person feel like they were the most important person in the world, and the impression that she left on this planet is immeasurable. Gisele was predeceased by her mother, Ella Dube Martin and her father, Richard L. Martin of Madawaska, Maine. She is survived by her husband and best friend Denis Carbonneau of Essex, her daughter and mirror image Erin Senecal, and her husband Eric Senecal of Milton, her brother Daniel Martin and his son Taylor Martin of of DeSoto, Kansas, and her brother Wayne Martin, his wife Jennifer Martin, and their sons Remy Martin and Nathanael Martin of Olsburg, Kansas. Per Gigi's explicit request, the family is planning a party to serve as a celebration of her life at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 19th at 18 Irish Road in Cambridge, Vermont.
