It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gladis Burnett. She was born on March 4, 1926, and peacefully left this world on June 21, 2023, in her hometown of White Hall, Arkansas.
Gladis was a true gem in our community, known for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter. She had a zest for life that was unparalleled, bringing joy to those around her with her quick wit and lighthearted spirit. Whether making her famous pecan pie or organizing neighborhood barbecues, Gladis brought people together like no other.
Her love for the simple pleasures in life was evident in her beautiful flower garden that seemed to be in bloom all year round. Gladis had an undeniable green thumb that could turn any plot of land into a botanical wonderland. She would spend countless hours tending to her garden, sharing her knowledge and produce with anyone who crossed her path.
Gladis was also an eternal optimist, always seeing the silver lining in even the darkest of clouds. She had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simplest of moments and was an inspiration to all who knew her. From her love of dancing to her Sunday drives through the countryside, Gladis reminded us all to cherish life's little joys and savor every precious moment.
She is survived by her adoring family, including her three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cherished with all her heart. Her memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the local community center, as Gladis was an avid supporter of various programs aimed at helping the less fortunate. This would be a beautiful way to honor her memory and continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
As we bid farewell to our dear Gladis Burnett, let us remember her infectious laughter, her warm embrace, and her unwavering spirit. May she rest in eternal peace, forever watching over us with that mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
