Mrs. Gladys Lewis was born December 13, 1923, in Decatur, Georgia to William Duncan and Ruthie Mae Duncan. Both parents preceded her in death. She leaves behind her husband, Derrick Davis; their children, Deloris Duncan, Shawn Duncan grandkids, Ricky Duncan, Denis Davis, Diana Davis, Morris Grant; and great-grands Stephon Davis, Stephanie Davis, and a host of other family members.
Gladys was educated in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Gladys later relocated to Savannah to start a career as a home care and wet nurse where she cared for people from 1 day old too 100 years old and loved every minute. Among her favorite past-times were knitting and reading. Mrs.Davis transitioned from this life on Nov 5, 2018, in her hometown surrounded by family and loved ones.
When God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be He put his arms around you and whispered come to me. He didn't like what you went through and he gave you rest. His garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping, ao peaceful and free from pain, we wouldn't wish you back to suffer that again. Today we say goodbye and as you take your final rest, that garden must be beautiful, because you are one of the best.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11th, 2018, Trimble Mortuary Riverdale Georgia, for fellowship and to celebrate her memory,
