Gladys E. Avery Rosengrant, 98, of Montrose formerly of Kingsley passed away at the Meadow View Senior Center on Thursday. May 9, 2013. Gladys was married to the late Wesley Rosengrant whom passed away in 1995.She was born on September 29, 1914 in Lake Winola the daughter of the late Andy and Lena Sonskey Avery. Gladys was a graduate of the Falls Overfield High School and was of the Baptist Faith. Gladys enjoyed crocheting and giving her Afghan blankets to her family and friends. Surviving: Daughters, Linda Miller and husband Alvin of Kingsley and Shirley Vosburgh and husband Wade of Kingsley, and brother Wayne Rosenkrantz of West Point, Va.; also surviving are nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great, and great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Gladys is preceded in death by her son Donald Rosengrant. Funeral Services were held at the Anthony P. Litwin, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville on Sunday, May 12, 2013, with Pastor Frank Passetti of the Summit Baptist Church officiating. A viewing was held at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be private at the Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery Factoryville.
