Burial will follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sep 18, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, Sep 19, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Glen passed away on Saturday, Sep 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Sep 14, 1924 in Montgomery County, TN to William John and Thursa Elsie Clark. He was retired from Ford Glass Company where he worked for 24 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 747, Palmyra. There will be a Masonic Service on Monday night at 7:00 PM. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eugene Clark, and sisters; Etha Blackwell, Laura Malkowski, and Tootsie Collins and survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Nell Huggins Clark, son, Danny (Jane)Clark, daughter, Jane (Ronal) Deffendoll, three grandsons; Danny (Kelly) Deffendoll, Chris (Krissy) Clark, and Matt Clark, five great-grandchildren; Jacob and Payton Deffendoll, Ethan, Abby, and Ella Grace Clark, brother, Howard Clark, and sister, Martha Huggins.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Aseracare Hospice and Dr. Bill Grabenstein.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1388 Cumberland Heights Road, Clarksville, TN 37040 or Lone Oak Baptist Church Greater Things Fund 4445 Louise Road, Cumberland Furnace, TN 37051.online condolences may be made at sykesfuneralhome.com
