Kippenhan, GlennGlenway "Glenn" Herbert Kippenhan, 90, of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, died on April 5, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a result of a car accident. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Kewaskum, the son of Harvey and Aleda (Mertes) Kippenhan.Glenn graduated from Campbellsport High School. During World War II, he served in the US Navy as a gunner's mate aboard the "USS New Jersey". He worked for his dad as a garage mechanic at Kippenhan Service Station in Campbellsport. He was also a shop foreman and assistant service manager for a Chrysler dealership in Dallas, Texas. Glenn enjoyed anything with a motor. He raced boats, motorcycles, sports cars and go-karts. He built and flew remote controlled airplanes. Glen is survived by his daughter, Diane Laura Kippenhan-Vollmer, her husband, James Albert Vollmer of Campbellsport, his first wife, Barbara Viona (Steffy) Kippenhan of Campbellsport, his brother-in-law, William (Bill) Marchant of Lomira, his nieces, Carole (Walter) Ferber, Sharon (Ron) King, Nancy (David) Dreher, Jeanne Marchant, Susan (Rick) Dreher and Judy Marchant, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Alice (Kippenhan) Marchant; his second wife, Dorothy; his companion, Betty Stuart; and his nephew, William John Marchant.Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 9, at 3:00 PM in Union Cemetery in Campbellsport.
