Mrs. Gloria Ann Tucker Giles, 68, passed away 6:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born on December 5, 1944 in Escondido, CA to the late Geneva Louise Kaler Tucker and Merritt E. Tucker. Mrs. Giles was an attendee of Rural Hall Church of God and Living Waters Church of God. She loved people and making friends. She also loved to laugh and spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Giles was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Carroll "Red" Copen; and special friends, Ruby Lee Slack, Susan Fish and Letticha Marie Giles. Surviving are her devoted husband, Paul E. Giles; four children: Kimberly Churchwell, Dale McCown, Jr., Rev. Dennis McCown (Marsha), and Kenney Wallace (Leslie); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Harlen Copen (Tina); two sisters, Linda Bradley and Sharon Nichols; numerous nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and special friends, Ann Durr (Raleigh), Sandy Heaton (Charles), Charles Edmund Slack, Donna Henderson, Chrystal Moore and Dianne Smith (Bruce).A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Harry Wood and Pastor Kenneth Ayers officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
