Gloria Mae Atwood1933 - 2013Gloria Mae Atwood, 80, of Gurnee, passed away Monday Aug. 12, 2013, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Round Lake Beach, IL.Gloria was born on July 28, 1933, in Salem, Wis., the daughter of Fred and Marjorie McKinney Grulich. Gloria married Richard Atwood, Sr. on Sept. 6, 1952. Gloria was a long time attendee of Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church; she was a Bank Teller for American National Bank in Waukegan. Gloria loved to read, crochet, do crossword puzzles and watch her favorite reality shows. Gloria was always a happy person and loved her family very much.Gloria is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Richard, Sr.; son, Richard Atwood, Jr. of Gurnee; daughter, Cherri Atwood of Waukegan; sister, Rose Petersen of Arvada, Colo.; nieces, Deanna and Christina; nephew, David; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.A service to celebrate Glorias life will be 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 16, 2013, at Marsh Funeral Home 305 N. Cemetery Road in Gurnee with Pastor Kerry Bauman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before services on Friday at the funeral home.
