Gloria Hernandez, a beloved member of the Gallatin community, passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on February 16, 1959, Gloria was known for her kind heart. She touched the lives of many with her warm smile and compassionate nature. Gloria never met a stranger. She served as the only sister to six brothers, the glue that linked her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Gloria was a licensed barber and cosmetologist, but her greatest legacy of love and kindness was in her sons, Nafis Smith, Marcial Hernandez, and Christopher Hernandez. She was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Mildred Bentley Gaston, brothers, Michael Gaston, David Gaston, and Gary Gaston. She leaves behind brothers, Larry Gaston of Indianapolis, Chubby (Charlene Vaughn Gaston) Gaston of Gallatin, Freddy (Lovette Moore Gaston) of Murfreesboro, and Earl (Larrissa) Perry of Gallatin, sister-in-law, Joanne Cavanaugh Gaston of Phoenix, and deeply devoted cousin, Jackie Carver. Uncle, Jim (Margaret Malone Oldham) Oldham and aunt, Katie Gaston of Indianapolis. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews, Angela Gaston, Jessica Corral, Meagan Galbreath, Misty Pervatt, Jaleesa Gaston, Whitney Gaston, Marissa Gaston, Haley Brinkley, Larry Gaston, Chubby Renard Gaston, Jeronte Brinkley, Anthony Gaston, Tommy Cavanaugh, Paul Gaston, and Jessie Gaston, as well many great-nieces and great-nephews.
