RACINE - Gloria Mae (nee: Kraning) Gage, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home. Gloria was born on August 8, 1933 to Henry F. and Ruth L. (nee: Krohlow) Kraning in Briarton, WI. She graduated from Park High School in 1951 and later received her certificate in Traffic Management from Gateway Technical College. Gloria was married to Peter Vallner in 1952 until his passing on May 20, 1979. She was united in marriage to Meredith Bud Gage on May 7, 1983. Gloria worked at Dana Corporation in Racine for many years. Gloria was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church for 10 years, St. Patricks Catholic Church for 25 years, and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer since 1987. She had a passion for bowling and golfing at Maplecrest Country Club. She enjoyed playing cards, and going camping. Gloria was a dedicated member of the Elizabeth Bible Study Circle and the Washington Park Class of 1951 Reunion Committee. Most important to Gloria was her family, and they will miss her dearly. Gloria is survived by her husband, Meredith Bud Gage; her daughters, Kathi (Pedro) Villarreal, Sue (Patrick) Garner, and Sharon (Kevin Rim) Budde of Greenville, IL; 4 granddaughters, Nicole Edmonds of Breese, IL, Katie (Rodney) Edie, Amy (Rodrigo) Castillo, and Jamie Garner; her great- grandchildren, Matilda, Bindi, and Joey Edie, and Vinny Castillo; brother, Gene Kraning of Colorado; sister, Diane Wiltgen; 3 nieces and 4 nephews, Cindy, Sara, Kelley, Kyle, Joel, Nicolas, and Casey; and step-children, Tobin Gage, Tim Gage, and Lisa (Dennis) Stewart. Gloria will also be missed by her dear friends from the Elizabeth Bible Study Circle, and her closest friends since childhood, Barb Sanders, Donna Bidwell, Donna Hansen, Shirly Madden, Norma Jensen, and JoAnn Polowski. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth; first husband, Peter Vallner; sister, Shirley Hawes; and step- son, Gary Gage. A memorial service for Gloria will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Wilson Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. A private inurnment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
