Gloria R. Coviello Pelagalli, 87, of the Wesley Health Care Center and formerly of Maplewood Manor, died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 after a long illness. She was born on May 3, 1929 in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose Capriolla Coviello. She was educated in the NYC school system and was the beloved wife of John Pelagalli of Saratoga Springs, who she married on April 7, 1951. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers, NY. In her early years, Gloria had been a school aide for PS 215 in Brooklyn, always to be home to raise her children. Most important to Gloria was the time spent with both her children and grandchildren. In addition to her beloved husband, Gloria is the devoted mother of Hon. Paul (Carlie) Pelagalli, Saratoga County Family Court Judge and Susan (Philip) Sherman of Scarsdale, NY; sister of Ann Montagna, Connie Orlando, Pasquale Coviello, Jr. and the late Raphael Coviello; cherished grandmother of Lindsey Sherman, Madeline and Jack Pelagalli; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church in Ushers where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park, NY 12065. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
