KENDALLVILLE — Gordon Dean Ramer, 73, of Kendallville, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ramer was born on Aug. 13, 1942, to the late Merle Ramer and Modelle Ramer (McDonald). He graduated from Rome City High School. On Oct. 26, 1999, Dean married Donna Smith. He was a longtime proud business owner of Advanced Thermal Technologies and Dependable Metal Treating of Kendallville. Survivors include his wife, Donna Ramer of Kendallville; three sons, Dean Ramer of Orlando, Florida, David Ramer of Fremont, and Darin and Crystal Ramer of Kendallville; three step-children, Tammy Knotts of Middlebury, Jeff and Deb Collins of Avilla and Jennifer Patrick of Kendallville; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Russell Ramer of Florida and Ronnie Ramer of Kendallville. Dean was preceded in death by three sisters, Sandra Sweeney, Dorothy Pimanis and Helen Kukutsis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville, IN 46755. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Hite Funeral Home. Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Charles Mosley.
