Berkheimer 59, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the York Hospital.Mr. Berkheimer was born on March 10, 1958 and was the son of Mary Jo Walker of York and the late Donald Berkheimer. He was a corrections officer at the York County Prison.He enjoyed spending time at the river and cooking. Mr. Berkheimer is survived by his sons, Brandy L. Berkheimer, Jarret S.Berkheimer, Justin E. Berkheimer; and daughter, Shanna M. Berkheimer. Brothers, Steve Berkheimer, Tim Berkheimer, Dave Berkheimer. Half brother, Danny Walker. Two sisters, Cindy Crouse, Joey Fishel; Stepbrother, Wayne Walker; and stepsister, Kathy Groff.Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 beginning at 1 p.m., at John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with the Rev. Keith Carroll officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
