Mr. Gregory Albert Hagins, 64, of Hamlet, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 after a brief illness.
Mr. Hagins was born on October 10, 1949 in Moore County, to the late Clarence Albert Hagins and the late Evelyn Nelson Hagins Clark. He was an active member of St. Peter United Methodist Church. Until his illness, he served as the Training Officer for Richmond County Emergency Services E-9-1-1.
Mr. Hagins is survived by his wife, Glendora; and children, Glynnis and Gregory of the home; his sister, Veronica M. Easterling of Hamlet; his brother, Nathan A. Nelson of Monroe; one aunt, Amelia B. Aaron of Hamlet; one uncle, Herbert Nelson of Laurinburg; and his father-in-law, Glenn E. Saunders of Cameron.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at St. Peter United Methodist Church located at 105 N. Bridges St. in Hamlet.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Peter United Methodist Church with the Rev. Angelo Troy officiating. Interment will follow in the Mary Love Cemetery.
