Gregory L. SteinNaples, FL-Gregory L. Stein passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his home in Naples, FL. Greg was born on May 21, 1948 in Salisbury, MD to the late Samuel and Virginia Stein.A graduate of James M. Bennett High School and The University of Maryland, he was a resident of Salisbury for 64 years. On December 28, 1968 he married the former Patricia Brittingham.Greg's professional career in Salisbury was spent as the President of Salisbury Steel, Delmarva Recycling and the Stein Land Corporation. Currently, he was the owner and president of Alpha Business and Accounting Service, Inc. in Naples. Greg will be remembered for his selfless giving of his time to the people of Salisbury and Wicomico County. He served as a member of the Greater Salisbury Committee for 27 years, holding the office of Chairman from 1999-2000. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore for 12 years of his sixteen-year membership, serving as chairman of that board from 2004-2006. Greg was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as Head Usher and as the Chairman of the Staff Parish Relations Committee from 2009-2012. Greg was the Chairman of the Mayors Business Roundtable in Salisbury, a longtime member of the Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development and the Salisbury Jaycees.Pat and Greg enjoyed the arts in all forms, jazz music and traveling. Greg enjoyed his time in Naples, especially the beaches and warm weather.In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his sons, Shane and Aaron in 1994 and his sister, Susan Stein Long.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat, his brother, D. Michael Stein and nieces and nephews.A funeral service for Greg will be on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury, MD with the Rev. George Patterson officiating.
