LANCASTER: Grover C. "Buss" Alexander, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on August 24, 1924 to the late Grover C. "Cleve" and Goldie Alexander. Grover served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a member of Company B 51st Armored Infantry Battalion 4th Armored Division. He was a Purple Heart recipient and donated his Army Uniform to the Motts Military Museum in Groveport for display. Grover retired as an engineer with Conrail Railroad.Grover is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn; daughter Becky (Charles) Raymond of Orient, OH; sons Brad (Brenda) Alexander of Lancaster and Brian Alexander of Columbus; grandchildren, Mike Raymond, Amy Fragoso, Lee Alexander and Zachery Alexander; three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Grover was preceded in death by son Robert Alexander. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 14 at 11:00 AM at Franklin Hills Memory Garden Chapel in Lithopolis, OH with Pastor Larry Sparks officiating.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lanfair Center for the wonderful care they provided Grover. Memorial Contributions may be made to the of Central Ohio.
