Grover Cleveland "Bill" Plymale, Jr.Clarksville, TNGrover Cleveland "Bill" Plymale, Jr., 85, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Grace Healthcare of Clarksville.Bill was born on August 22, 1931, in Huntington, WV to the late Grover Cleveland Plymale, Sr. and Mary Johnson Plymale. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rocky Appleton and granddaughter, Billie Jane Black.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Sonny Kim officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Bill is a Retired U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He is also Retired from the U.S. Postal Service.Bill is survived by his wife, Anne Blackwell Plymale of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Glenda Appleton (Wayne) Clardy and Tandy Appleton (Billy Joe) Black of Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren, Sheryl Anne (John) Morgan, Glendon Monroe (Amie) Black, Ricki (Mark) Holleman, John Wayne (Tracy) Clardy, Caroline (Mike) Bond, Joshua Appleton, and Jessi (Jennifer) Appleton; fifteen great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; niece, Jan Plymale Hodgson of Sausalito, CA; and nephew, Wayne Plymale of San Francisco, CA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
