Hal Taylor1927 - 2016Hal Taylor, 88, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Kenosha, Wis., and Zion, Ill., passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Legacy House of the Hospice of Marion County, Ocala Fla.He was born on May 25 1927, in Creston, Ia., son of the late Boyd and Grace Taylor. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Renate during WWII. In 1947 he married Ruth Rath, who passed away Nov 25, 1999. He was given a second chance at happiness when he joined Grace Presbyterian Church PCA and married Carolyn Slater in 2004. He was a member of the Lions and Masonic Lodges in Kenosha, where he made a living as a journeyman plasterer until he retired and moved to Florida in 1990. He was an avid Tampa Bay Ray's fan, talented painter, enjoyed watching Jeopardy and spending time with family and friends.Hal is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Kathleen (Roger) Hedding of New Berlin, Wis., and Susan (Raymond) Singer of Kenosha, Wis.; stepdaughter, Carol (Ron) Mowrey of Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Paula Richardson, Brian Hedding, Joel Hedding, Stacey Hedding, Caitlin Hanrahan, Aaron Singer, Cheryl Byrne and Krista Rodger; greatgrandchildren Luke and Jack Richardson, Catherine Adeline and Lillanne Hedding, Blake and Brooke Byrne; sisters Jean Scheve, June Krapf and Dolores Will.
