MRS. HALLIE VIRGINIA BRACE LOTHARP, 74 of MONROE, NC died Friday, August 5, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe, NC. Born in Union County, NC, Tuesday, September 26, 1939 a daughter of the late Walter, Sr. and Katie Sassafras Brace, she was a member of Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, attended East Union High School and was married to the late Haywood Ernest Lotharp and to this union six children were born and also she was employed by Phillips Weaving Company until her retirement. "Hallie V." as she was so fondly called by her family and friends was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; one son; Donald Ray Lotharp (twin of Vonda R. Chandler) daughter; Carol Marie Cook; brother; Walter Brace, Jr; sisters; Barbara Jean and Nonie; and grandchildren; Sherieka, Michael  and Mitchell. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to four daughters; Annette Scurry (Terry) of Baltimore, MD, Vanessa Stevenson, Vonda Chandler and Sylvia Lotharp all of Monroe, NC; two sisters; Beatrice Suber (John) of Baltimore, MD  and Hattie Brace of Monroe, NC; one brother; Robert Brace of Wingate, NC; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, deveoted caretaker Meosha Tanner and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and freinds.
