Mrs. Harlen McClendon Nance was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Harlen was born in Holland Georgia on November 9, 1936, to the late Porter and Rose McClendon. She passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Nance; brothers, Jim Smith, and Haywood McClendon; grandchildren, Kristie Nance Borders, Denzel Nance Borders, Shrena Bell, and Amir Tru Davis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Ethel Nance and dear friend, Essie Hinton Brown. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her children, Cynthia McClendon, Melvin (Sheila) McClendon, Carolyn Nance, Kondra Nance, and Robert Ellison; grandchildren, Kevin McClendon, Larone Daniel, Tamara Daniel, Jason (Latosha) McClendon Harvey, Nicholas (Millini Johnson) Nance, Latasha Borders, Dameion Ellison, Leslie Edwards, Laurence Howard, Edwin Cody, and Juwana Cody; great grandchildren, Alex McClendon, Dominique Daniel, LarTajai Daniel, Deasia Daniel, Maklia Daniel, Ayden Houston Daniel, Sophie Daniel, Kyrie Daniel, Khristopher Bell, Brandon Bell, and JaDaryl Bell, T'Nasia and Nevaeh Nance; 19 great-great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Jackson; other relatives and friends.
