Harold Dean SnowAge: 81 • StauntonHarold Dean Snow, 81, widower of Frances Elvira (Buchanan) Snow, of 51 Sunset Blvd., passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.Mr. Snow was born on July 13, 1935 in Augusta County, Virginia, a son of the late Thomas Alwin and Agnes (Dickerson) Snow.Harold was a member of Linden Heights Baptist Church and was a proud veteran in the United States Navy. He retired from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center where he had worked in the maintenance department.  He was a member of the Staunton - Augusta VFW Post 2216, and a member of the Augusta Archery. Mr. Snow was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and enjoyed camping.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Harold Alwin Snow; a brother, Edward Snow; and a sister, Shirley (Snow) Marshall.Surviving is a son, H. Wade Snow and his wife Dee (Clemmer) of Staunton; a sister, Shelby (Snow) Segan and her husband David of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, James A. Snow, Joshua T. Snow, and Carla (Snow) Craig and her husband Stephen; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Craig and Hope Craig and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Luke B. Smith.The family will receive friends following the service.Burial will be private in Hildebrand Mennonite Church Cemetery.It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels, 300 W.
