Harold (Easy) Dempsey IlesHarold (Easy) Dempsey Iles was born on December 26, 1921 to Francis Marion Iles and Zipporah Catherine Hooper Iles in the shadow on the piney hills near the twin bridges west of Alexandria, Louisiana. A resident of the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve, LA, he completed his service for the Lord on this earth on March 3, 2017. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. His whit, care-free attitude, and constant infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his three brothers (Leonard Frank Iles, Charles Wesley Iles, and Arnold Keener Iles), his two sisters (Marion Catherine Iles Townley and Wilma Gael Iles Evans), his four nephews (Leonard Frank Iles, Danny Albert Iles, Lee Greer Iles, and Madison Vincent Townley), his niece (Linda Gail Townley Pearson), his great nephew (Ron Steven Iles), his grandson (Matthew David Payne), and the love of his life (Eddie Arzella Huffman Iles). He is survived by his three daughters (Mary Edith Iles, Margaret Iles Sheats, and Patti Iles Aymond and husband Nelson), five grandchildren (Jennifer Lynn Brossett and husband Stephen Paoli, Monica Joy Sheats James, Mark Allen Sheats, Jr., Michael Harold Sheats, and Jean Pierre Aymond), six great-grandchildren (Annabelle Louisa Paoli, Mattalynn Joy Paoli, Sarah Catherine James, Joshua Allen Sheats, Lilliana Josephine Sheats, and Caleb Daniel Sheats), two sisters (Doris Ruth Iles Gates, and Jean Elvira Iles Belcher), one sister-in-law (Jessie Anne Huffman Wilson), and many adoring nieces, nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with his grandson, Jean Pierre Aymond officiating. The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Monday, March 6, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 PM and continued Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. As a decorated WWII veteran, he will be honored and interred at the armed services section of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, following the funeral.
