JACKSON, Harold ErnestDecember 1, 1929 – January 1, 2017Harold Ernest Jackson passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, January 1, 2017 and is now watching over us with Mom from Heaven. Harold was the loving husband of the late Elsie Rose Jackson and father to June (Barry), Susanne, Brenda (Roy), Colleen (Ken), Cathy (Kim) and Janet (Rick). They, as well as his siblings, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends will miss him very much. Harold was born on December 1, 1929 in Saskatoon, SK and raised in a family of 10, on a homestead in Smeaton. He joined Precision Drilling in 1951 and had a career that spanned 40 years. Harold always kept up with the latest technology from getting one of the first coloured TV's, one of the first personal computers up to wearing a Fitbit. He enjoyed travelling, visiting friends and spending time with family. A jack of all trades, he excelled in carpentry, building a house for his new bride and then using this knowledge to help his daughters with renovations and repairs. He was a generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Harold was a patient, caring, compassionate man that valued creativity, learning, hard work and believed in the following motto "If you are going to do something, do it right the first time."
