Henschel, Harold F.Harold F. Henschel, 89, of Ada WI, died peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Field of Dreams Assisted Living, Rockville with his family at his side.He was born on August 8, 1927 in Kiel, son of the late Albert E. & Edna (Dedering) Henschel.Harold attended Rockville School.On November 7, 1953 he married Marion Wesener at St. Paul UCC , Town of Mosel.Marion preceded him in death on September 23, 1981.On December 14, 1985 he married Doris Kretsch-Semph at St. John's UCC, Schwarzwald.Doris preceded him in death on March 14, 2011.Harold joined the farm, becoming the 3rd generation with his wife Marion until her death and also worked at the Ada Butcher Shops. He later was employed at Buchman Brothers Painting, Kiel and eventfully started his own painting career.He was a lifetime member of Bethel UCC where he was a member of the consistory and cemetery board. He also was a member of the Farm Bureau.In his younger years he was a Boy Scout, enjoying nature, especially hunting and fishing. He loved playing cards and was a great sheepshead player.His family was very important to him and loved to spend time with them and his grandchildren.Survivors include his children; Larry (Sandy) Henschel, rural Kiel, Randy (Debbie) Henschel, rural Cleveland, Lonna (Pete) Gall, Francis Creek, Rick Henschel, Howards Grove and his grandchildren; Ryan, Matthew and Cory (Rebekah) and Kevin Henschel, Kayla (Grant) Knauer, Breanna and Miranda Gall. He is further survived by three great grandchildren, one sister, Beverly (Arnold) Vogel, special friend, Lucille Brass, sister-in-law, Florence Kretsch, brother-in-law, Jim Kretsch, nieces, nephews and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Marion & Doris, infant brother, Alan, stepson, Gary Semph, sister-in-law Betty (Clyde) Mueller and brother-in-law, Armin Kretsch Jr.Funeral services for Harold will be held at 5:30 pm, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Bethel UCC, W4225 County Line Road, Elkhart Lake, with Rev. Jim Liddle officiating.Private burial services will take place in the church cemetery.Family and friends may gather at the church on Sunday from 2:30 pm until 5:15 pm when brief family rites will take place.Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel is assisting the family.Harold's family would like to extend their thanks to Heartland Hospice, Jennifer & Mary at Dr. Grose's Practice and Dr. Coulis for their care and compassion.
