Harold Lee Peacock Sr., 82, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at his residence. Harold was born on July 24, 1934 in Rowan County to the late Mildred Lee Dennis Peacock and the late Gilbert H. Peacock. Harold honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Afterwards, he worked at Food Lion as a truck driver. He was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church. Harold loved to fish. In addition to his parents, Mildred and Gilbert, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Peacock; brother, Jerry Peacock; and sisters, Judy Lemly and Hazel Ogle. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Harold Lee Peacock Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. Larry Leroy Peacock of Salisbury and Richard Lee Spry of Belmont; daughters, Debbie Reynolds of Cherryville and Patty Long of Salisbury; brother, Vernon Peacock of Denver; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Memorial Service: 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at Chapel in the Pines, Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
