Harold Tompkins passed away on Oct. 19, 2016, in King City, Ore. Harold was born on June 11, 1944, in Portland, Ore., to John and Joyce "Betty" Tompkins. He grew up in Klamath Falls, Ore., graduating from Klamath Union High School in 1963. Harold and his wife Gala resided on Mill Creek outside of Walla Walla, Wash., for over 20 years until Gala passed in 2014. He is survived by his sisters, Arlyne Bernard of Cave Junction, Ore., and Janice Meeker of Pahrump, Nev.; brother, John "Jack" Tompkins of Hesperia, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold was an avid hunter, who enjoyed the great outdoors and drives on any gravel road. He was the life of the party, sharing stories and jokes. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and smile and family and friends will miss his love of life with a positive attitude. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
