Harry ClarkJacksonHarry Clark, 65, completed his final lap on Monday, January 9, 2017. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.Harry was born on March 23, 1951 in Jackson, MS to the late Ethol and Grace Smith Clark. He was a member of the class of 69 at Clinton High School.Harry found his love for automobiles at 15 years old by driving a school bus in Clinton, MS. His passion for cars lead him into a passion of racing and eventually his lifelong profession of being a certified mechanic. Harry worked for numerous shops around the central Mississippi area throughout his career, but is most notable for working at Paul Moak Pontiac and Fowler Buick where he won Master Technician in back to back years from 1990-91 and the prestigious National Richard Petty's GMC Potters Award. During retirement, Harry found joy in tracing his families genealogy and visiting cemeteries to pay respects to those that came before him. He also loved his social media family, especially antagonizing his many friends on Real Talk Clinton, sharing history lessons and pictures of old town Jackson and Clinton, sharing stories and talking about all things racing or cars. Harry's love for his family was never more evident than when he doted on his three grandchildren. Harry was the most devoted Father, loving Brother, beloved Paw Paw, favorite Uncle, and loyal friend. His humor and sarcasm were only surpassed by his heart and wisdom. His family and friends take comfort knowing the clouds of Heaven will be covered in tire tread, for eternity...He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandy Myles Clark, the mother of his two boys.Harry is survived by his two sons, David Clark and Keith Myles of Clinton, MS;grandchildren, Kaleb Clark, Charity Clark and Grace Clark; brother William Harrell Clark (Linda) of Moss Point, MS; sister, Anne Clark Ballard; brother in Law & Best Friend, Kenneth R Ballard of Clinton, MS; nephews, Anson & Jayson Ballard, Billy Clark, Alan Bowker, Tony, Adrian & Zachary Clark; nieces Rosemarie Leger, Maria Justice and Jo Jo McCarthy.
