DALLASTOWN Harry R. Brenneman, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21 at Manor Care - Dallastown. He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Wanda L. (Strickler) Brenneman. Mr. Brenneman was born on July 13, 1929, in Windsor and was the son of the late Kurvin W. and Carrie A. (Houston) Brenneman. Harry proudly served in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War and was honorably discharged. For most of his life, he worked in furniture manufacturing, retiring as a finisher supervisor. He was a former volunteer
firefighter for Windsor Boro. and served on the Red Lion School Board. He was a member of the Dallastown American Legion Post 605,
VFW Post 556, the Hawks Club and the Victory Club. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his three children, Deborah A. Hunsinger of Oklahoma, Brian R. Brenneman of Dallastown and Ginger Wishard of Hallam; six grandchildren, Teri Hunsinger Nelson, Brandon Brenneman, Logan Matthews, Abigail Brenneman, Alishia Covert and Collin Wishard; and his great-granddaughter, Claire Nelson. He is also survived by his brother, Wallace Brenneman. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and his sister. A time to view and share memories will be held at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, on Thursday, June 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. and then again on Friday from 10-11 a.m., with a funeral service to honor Harry's life beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
